Wedding Day

Between all of the pictures of this wedding taken by myself, my mom, and two of my aunts, I think we have 600 pictures. I could be here until the end of time deciding which pictures to post for you. I could put together an album, of course, but then I would have to label each picture and I don't feel like doing that right now! :)

As mentioned in the previous post, we awoke to the banging of hammer in our hotel room bright and early. We decided to wake up, get some breakfast and then head over to get Addy's hair done. We came back to the room so I could get ready, put the finishing touches on everyone and headed down to the Chart House where the wedding was held.

Before the wedding with the Hohenstein's.

Addysen and I ended up walking down the aisle together. She was too shy to do it alone, and actually I enjoyed being able to concentrate on her because as soon as I started walking down the aisle, I came thisclose to losing it.

Thankfully the tears subsided; a best (wo)man isn't supposed to cry, right?

A few minutes later, the happy couple was pronounced!

The wedding party consisted of Laurie's sister, Jenn, Addy and myself. Sweet and simple (and all girls!!)

The proud parents of the groom.

Andy and me.

Me and my girl, just messing around.

After a fantastic brunch, we began the dancing and cake cutting.

Our little superstar, who loves to dance anywhere, would not dance at this wedding. She had to be coaxed and even at that, I did most of the entertaining to get her out on the dance floor.

A few hours later, the best (wo)man and her flower girl assistant had the getaway truck all decorated and the bride and groom whisked away to go get their pictures taken on the beach.

And as we drove back home, the six and a half hours of sleep caught up with the prettiest little flower girl and she was OUT!

The family, minus the bride and groom, reconvened at my parent's house for dinner. My mom, aunt, Addy and I decided that we'd stop by In-N-Out and pick up dinner for our guests. In-N-Out is a must when we have our Kansas kin in town. I pull up and we figure that we need about 15 burgers, let's make 5 double doubles just in case, 5 or 6 orders or fries and that should do it. My aunt chimes in from the back seat that she wants to order a Dr. Pepper. So there I am, at the order box, with these two employees at their cashier window (see below) and I order 15 burgers, 6 orders of fries, oh and one medium Dr. Pepper! Seriously, you should have seen the look on the faces of these two In-N-Out employees; they were stunned. What in world would 3 women and little girl, all dressed in their wedding best, be doing ordering so much food and ONE drink. One of the guys comes on the intercom and asked in a confused tone, "Will you be eating that in your car today?" Really?! I had half a mind to say yes, please! The four of us are going to be sharing those 15 burgers and one Dr. Pepper in our car; now hurry up and get us our food! Needless to say, the guys in the booth were cracking up, we were cracking up and the whole situation was hilarious!

We went back to the house, SHARED our 15 burgers with the rest of the family, my aunt drank her lone Dr. Pepper, and we had left over wedding cake for dessert. Andy almost had it to wear thanks to my CAJ (not the Dr. Pepper aunt).
