After my wedding, I spend part of the next afternoon with family opening wedding gifts and then Andy and I were off to Hawai'i. And I missed out on all of the post wedding family fun. (although Hawai'i was awesome).
This time around, I enjoyed the family fun while my brother and his new wife flew off to enjoy Hawai'i!
We started off with a post In-N-Out dinner game of Chicken Foot, which was way too fun.
The next day we spent a late afternoon out on my parent's community lake, with Captain Ron driving the boat at 4 miles an hour.
We took a trip down to the Fullerton Areboretum and showed everyone around. Both my mom and brother used to work there, so it was neat to have my mom give the tour to everyone.
Our trip was followed by some shadow dancing.......
....and a trip to the school day ice cream store (AKA: Golden Spoon!). My grandpa, who Addy affectionally calls "Bobby", treated us all to our favorite flavor.
My aunt spent the most time with us, and after most of the family went back to Kansas, we decided to go back down to Dana Point to do some exploring. From the wedding site, you can look down to Dana Point Harbor and see this amazing "pirate ship". We decided to walk around near the ship, checking out the boats and the tide pools.

Unfortunately, we had a little shoe incident before we got to the tide pools. My mom picked Addy up to look over the rail, I don't even remember what she was looking for, and all of the sudden Addysen's new flip flop falls off of her foot and down into the jetty. (pictured below)
Poor Addy was crying and saying over and over again, "My SHOEY!". We realized that we couldn't hop the fence to get the shoey, so my mom set off to find someone who worked at the center on the harbor. Thank goodness for Linda and her net! She tried to get the shoe with the next, but decided it easier to walk down a bit, find the hidden ladder down to the jetty (employees only!) and go get the shoe for us. She saved the day!

Afterwards we took off to Doheny Beach to explore.
It was so windy that day! My mom, Addy and Aunt Julie were actually walking backwards to avoid walking in to the wind.

Way too much fun family! Thanks for all of the memories!
